Santa to Visit Station 23 [12/3/03] - Santa Claus will be making his annual visit to the Centerton Fire Co. on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003.  Santa will be at the firehouse from 12 Noon until 3 PM for kids of all ages to stop in and see.  All children will recieve a free gift and snacks will be available.  Door prizes will also be awarded.   The firehouse is located at 64 Dealtown Road in Pittsgrove Twp.

Centerton Fire Co. Receives Federal Grant [11/19/03] - The Centerton Fire Co. has recieved a federal grant for $157,500 dollars for the purchase of firefighting equipement.  Specifically, the Centerton Fire Co. will be purchasing a new trailer for Tanker 23-5.  The new trailer will be stainless steel and will be certified to carry "potable" water for distribution to the public during states of emergency.  The trailer will also be outfitted with its own pump, making water supply operations at fires easier and quicker, in addition to freeing up more resources for actual supression activities.  The Centerton Fire Co. was awarded the grant during Round 18 of the Federal FIRE Act Grant Program.
